Our HistoryIn 1975, Moses D.F. Ling and M. Kevin Parfitt both graduated from the Pennsylvania State University's Architectural Engineering program. After working for various engineering firms around the country, both eventually returned to State College to take teaching positions with the university.
They began to see the need for quality engineering services in the State College community, and saw an opportunity to practice their skills in a real-world environment. In 1984, they teamed up to form Parfitt/Ling, with Kevin providing structural engineering services and Moses providing MEP services.
In August 2000, Kevin decided to pursue other interests and sold the structural side of Parfitt/Ling to Hope Furrer Associates from Towson, MD. The MEP side of Parfitt/Ling was reorganized into Ling Partnership, with Moses as the principal owner.
In August 2007, Ling Partnership decided to leave downtown State College and relocate to the Southwood Office Centre at 1344 South Atherton Street. |
